The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team stayed at No. 11 as the top 15 teams in this week’s Takchikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 poll remained unchanged from a week ago in the third poll of the season, which was released on Tuesday.
The Warriors, who went 3-0 last week, stand at 13-1 on the season and received 460 points in the poll. The Warriors are 32 points behind No. 10 Taylor University of Indiana and six points ahead of No. 12 Embry-Riddle University of Florida.
LCSC defeated Whitworth in nonleague play last week, and then stopped Montana Tech and Montana Western. All three matches were three-set sweeps. Nine of LCSC’s 13 wins have been in sweeps this season.
The Warriors were joined in the Top 25 poll by fellow Frontier Conference member Carroll, which moved up to No. 20 this week. Rocky Mountain and Westminster also received votes.
California schools continue to dominate the poll with five teams ranked in the top nine, including three of the top four.
LCSC is on the road this week for a pair of conference matches. On Friday, the Warriors will be in Havre, Mont., to face Montana State-Northern at 6 p.m. LCSC then heads to Great Falls to face the University of Great Falls at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
