The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team will finish its match with Montana Tech in Butte, Mont., on Oct. 12 as part of its road trip to Billings and Helena that week in Frontier Conference play.
The Warriors were in Butte last Saturday to face Montana Tech and won the first two sets. Leading 4-0 in the third set, the power to the building was accidently cut by a construction company. After it was learned it would take at least 3 hours to restore power and possibly longer, the match was suspended and LCSC returned to Lewiston.
LCSC has matches scheduled at Billings, Mont., against Rocky Mountain on Oct. 13 and at Carroll College in Helena on Oct. 15, both at 6 p.m. Because Butte is on the way to Billings, LCSC will stop in Butte and finish the match against Montana Tech. The match will pick up with LCSC leading 4-0 in the third set and will start at 2 p.m. That will allow LCSC to finish the match and continue its travel to Billings that day.
LCSC, ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, is in a four-way tie for second place in the conference standings at 2-1 with Great Falls, Rocky Mountain and Carroll. LCSC faces Great Falls on Thursday night at 7 at the Activity Center. All LCSC fans are encouraged to wear white shirts to the game for “White Out” night. On Saturday at 2 p.m., LCSC faces league-leading Montana State-Northern, 3-0. Saturday is Family Day at the Activity Center and $20 admission includes tickets, hot dogs, and sodas for a family of four.
