Lewis-Clark State College’s Nicole Graybeal, a 6-2 middle blocker from Spokane, was honored as the Frontier Conference’s Volleyball Player of the Week conference officials announced on Monday.
Graybeal, who earned NAIA All-American First Team honors last season, earns the award after having helped 14th-ranked Lewis-Clark State get past Westminster College on Friday and extend its win streak to five.
LCSC’s match against Westminster ended up being five-set thriller and Graybeal’s 16 kills and hitting percentage of .382 helped make the difference. The senior also had two service aces, three assists, three digs, and led the team with four blocks.
The Warriors currently hold a league record of 5-1 and an overall mark of 11-3.
No conference matches will be played this week as it is the midway point in the conference schedule.
