Kelli Tikker of the Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team earned 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, the NAIA announced on Friday.
Student-athletes are nominated by their institution’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.
This stands as the second time that Tikker has earned the academic award as the senior from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., earned the honor last year as well.
