The Lewis-Clark State volleyball team occupied the No. 25 spot in this week’s Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25, released Tuesday by the national office.
Last week saw the Warriors go 1-1 in a pair of Frontier Conference slugfests, each of which went five sets.
LCSC defeated Great Falls last Thursday before coming up short at MSU-Northern the following evening. The Warriors are 9-6 overall and 6-1 in league play as they return to the friendly confines of the Activity Center for a pair of weekend matches.
Lewis-Clark State hosts Carroll – one of the two other Frontier Conference squads to receive votes in this week’s poll (Westminster) on Friday night at 7 p.m. MSU-Northern comes to Lewiston for a return bout on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Warriors will also play Walla Walla University in a non-league match at home next Monday night.
Texas-Brownsville was a unanimous choice atop the polls this week, receiving all 23 first-place votes and 653 points overall. It’s the seventh consecutive week the Scorpions have been No. 1 in the nation.
LCSC received 133 points in the poll.
