Warrior Women's Volleyball

Volleyball is #2 in Current NAIA Top 25 Poll

The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team is ranked #2 in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll just released Tuesday, September 12.

Lewis-Clark State (9-0) received a total of 327 points and four first-place votes, leaving them just seven points behind top-ranked Columbia (MO) College, the defending National Champions, which received seven first-place votes. This is LC’s highest ranking in school history in volleyball. The Warriors moved up to second after being ranked third in the NAIA Pre-season Top-25, August 22nd. The pre-season number one team, Fresno Pacific University, fell to #4 after posting a 5-7 record.

Lewis-Clark State went 5-0 last week and captured the 2000 Otter Classic title at Cal State-Monterey Bay over the weekend.

Other Region I teams in the poll are: Concordia (OR) University, #10, and Southern Oregon University, 18th.

The Warriors open the home-half of their schedule against NCAA II-member, Central Washington University, at 7:00 pm tonight in the Warrior Gymnasium.   Click here to see the entire poll.
