Volleyball Drops to #2 After 0-2 Week

The Lewis-Clark State College women’s volleyball team dropped to #13, after being ranked #2 for six-straight weeks, in the current NAIA Top-25 Poll released Tuesday, October 24th.

The Warriors, 19-2 overall and 8-2 in the Frontier Conference, lost both its matches to Rocky Mountain, now #11, 3-0, last Thursday and Friday, in Billings, MT. It was the first time Lewis-Clark State had lost two-in-a-row, by 3-0 margins, since the 1998 season, when the Warriors lost to NCAA Division II powers, BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific.

Top-seeded Columbia (MO) College, 29-1, holds the top-spot for the seventh-straight week with all 14 first-place votes and 350 points. Dickinson State ND) University takes over at #2 and Georgetown (KY) College moves up five spots to #3. The College of St. Mary (NE) moves up two to #4 and Point Loma Nazarene (CA) College stays at #5.

The only other NAIA Region I member in the Top-25 is #23 Southern Oregon.

Lewis-Clark State has almost two weeks off before its next match on Friday, November 3rd, at Montana State University-Northern, in a Frontier Conference match. The Warriors close out the regular-season on Saturday, November 4th, at Carroll College. Both matches start at 7:00 pm Mountain.
