Shandy Joblin Signs Letter-of-Intent to Attend LCSC and Play Volleyball
Lewiston, ID-
Shandy Joblin of Eagle, ID, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Lewis-Clark State College and play volleyball beginning in the Fall of 2001."We are excited about getting someone with Shandys experience and ability," said Lewis-Clark State volleyball coach, Kip Yoshimura. "She will be a great addition to the program."
Joblin was the 2000 Southern Idaho Conference Co-Player of the Year and led Eagle High School, a member of A-1 Division I, to a second place finish at the state tournament. A three-year starting setter and All-Conference selection, she was tabbed as the teams captain this past Fall, and was also a two-time member of the SIC All-Academic team. Joblin was also named to the All-Wood River Tournament team this year. She is also a member of the Eagle High School Hall of Fame.
"Shandy has an intense desire to compete and win," said Eagle High volleyball coach Paul Schwager. "She has very high expectations of both herself and her teammates. She works harder than any other player in practice and gives every ounce of effort in every game she plays."
Joblin is also a National Honor Society member and holds a cumulative 3.8 GPA.
The Warriors finished the season with a 21-6 record and a 9-3 Frontier Conference mark. Lewis-Clark State loses to starters from last Falls team, setter Marci Pascua and outside hitter Regina Cooper.
