Warriors Climb to #13

Lewiston, ID-The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its Top 25 women’s volleyball, Tuesday, September 11th, and the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors are ranked 13th. L-C were ranked #25 in the preseason poll.

The Warriors (11-1) garnered 176 points after posting a 4-0 record at the Concordia University Volleyball Tournament. LCSC defeated the previously 18th-ranked Lubbock Christian Lady Chaparrals, 3-0, in that tournament. L-C is 2-1 against ranked opponents this season.

The top-five schools are: defending national champs Dickinson State at number one; at #2, Columbia College; third is Point Loma Nazarene; at #4 is the College of St. Mary; and fifth is Georgetown.

From Region I: Concordia (OR) slipped one spot to #9; and Albertson College fell four spots to #19. Northwest Nazarene tallied nine points.

The Warriors open Frontier Conference play Thursday night against first-year member, the University of Great Falls, at 7:00 pm, at Warrior Gymnasium. The Skylights of Montana State-Northern come to Lewiston on Saturday night for a 7:00 pm match.
