Warriors Open Frontier Conference Play with 3-0 Win Over UGF
LEWISTON, ID--The 13th-ranked Lewis-Clark State College Warriors defeated the University of Great Falls Lady Argos, 3-0, in the Frontier Conference volleyball opener for both teams.
The Warriors (12-1, 1-0 Frontier) were led by Angela Igoe’s team-high 15 kills. Jennifer Covelli added 48 assists and Kim Conder led the L-C defense with ten digs. Amanda Page and Amber Weatherspoon chipped in with eight and seven kills, respectively.
The Lady Argos (4-6, 0-1 Frontier) were led by Courtney Metzler’s nine kills. Brook Rasby added 19 assists and Denise McClain tallied ten digs. The University of Great Falls is in its first year of collegiate volleyball.
Lewis-Clark State will host Montana State-Northern, Saturday
night, at 7:00 PM in Warrior Gymnasium, while Great Falls will travel to
Westminster College of Salt Lake City for a match on Saturday.
