Warriors Move Up to #9
Lewiston, ID-The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)
released its Top 25 women’s volleyball, Tuesday, October 2nd, and the
Lewis-Clark State College Warriors move up one spot to #9. L-C was ranked #10 in
the September 25 poll.
Lewis-Clark State (17-1, 6-0 Frontier Conference) have won 15 matches in a row and won two key conference matches last week against defending league champs, Rocky Mountain, and preseason conference co-favorite, Carroll. The Warriors recorded 213 total points.
The top-five remain the same with Columbia College of Missouri being the consensus top-ranked team. Point Loma Nazarene, National American, College of St. Mary, and defending national champs Dickinson State follow in order.
Concordia University of Portland remains the top-ranked team in NAIA Region I and are ranked eighth overall. Carroll College moves up from #25 to #19 after splitting two matches last week, but playing the Warriors extremely tough, Saturday night.
The Warriors return to action on Friday, October 5th, at Westminster College of Salt Lake City. The match is set to get underway at 6:00 PM Pacific.
