Warriors Stay at #9
LEWISTON, ID-The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its Top 25 women’s volleyball, Tuesday, October 9th, and the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors remain #9.
Lewis-Clark State (18-1, 7-0 Frontier Conference) have won 16 matches in a row including a 3-1 win at Westminster last Friday. The Warriors are 2-1 against ranked opponents.
The top-five remain the same with Columbia College of Missouri being the unanimous number one team. The only difference from last week’s poll is that second-ranked Point Loma Nazarene dropped to #5 in this week’s poll, after losing to previously unranked Azusa Pacific, while National American and the College of St. Mary both move up one spot. Defending national champion Dickinson State stays in the #5 position.
Concordia University of Portland remains the top-ranked team in NAIA Region I and are ranked eighth overall for the second straight week. Carroll College also remains the same at #19.
The Warriors return to action on Friday, October 12th, at
Montana State-Northern in Havre. LCSC will then travel to Great Falls to take on
the Lady Argonauts on Saturday night. Both matches are set to get underway at
6:00 PM Pacific.
