Igoe and Sturtevant Named NAIA Academic All-America

Lewiston, ID-Seniors Angela Igoe (Firth, ID/Firth HS) and Amy Sturtevant (Wood River, ID/Ketchum HS) were named to the NAIA Academic All-America Team, released Monday, December 3rd.

Igoe, a 6-0 outside hitter, posted a 3.86 grade point average in Environmental Biology. She has been named Academic All-America two years in a row. Igoe led the Warriors in kills (510), kills per game (4.29), service aces (59), and was third on the team in digs with 371. This year, she has been named Frontier Conference Player of the Week, All-Conference first team, and first-team All-Pacific Northwest Region. Igoe also earned Verizon Academic All-District honors.

Sturtevant, a 5-7 defensive specialist, recorded a 3.59 GPA in Kinesiology/Secondary Education. Like Igoe, Sturtevant earns her second-consecutive Academic All-America award. She recorded 26 service aces this season and tallied 284 digs this past year.
