Igoe Named Frontier Conference Player of the Week
LEWISTON, ID-Lewis-Clark State College senior outside hitter Angela Igoe (Firth, ID/Firth High School) was named the Frontier Conference’s Player of the Week for the week ending September 22nd. Montana State-Northern setter Gabrielle Chambliss was named the Setter of the Week.
Igoe recorded 34 kills (4.8 kills per game) and 23 digs (3.3 digs per game) in Lewis-Clark State’s (15-1, 4-0 Frontier Conference) two wins this past weekend over Montana-Western and Montana Tech. Her attack percentage was .419.
The Warriors will play two key Frontier Conference matches this week. On Thursday, they entertain the defending Frontier Conference regular and post-season champions, Rocky Mountain College (8-7, 1-2), and then take on conference co-favorite Carroll College (9-5, 1-0), Saturday night. Both matches start at 7:00 PM. Carroll College recently lost to top-ranked Dickinson State, 3-1.
