Warriors Stave Off Fighting Saints, 3-2

LEWISTON, ID--The 10th-ranked Lewis-Clark State College Warriors defeated the Carroll College Fighting Saints, 3-2, in a Frontier Conference volleyball match, Saturday night, at Warrior Gymnasium. The win tonight gives the Warriors 15-consecutive, with the last and only loss coming August 24th to Concordia University

The Warriors (17-1, 6-0 Frontier) were led by Angela Igoe’s double-double of 20 kills and 13 digs. Amanda Page also registered a double-double with 18 kills and 14 digs and finished with a .250 attack percentage. Jennifer Covelli added 59 assists and Kim Conder paced the defense with a team-high 16 digs. Amber Weatherspoon recorded 15 kills and finished with a team-high .265 attack percentage.

The 25th-ranked Fighting Saints (10-6, 2-1 Frontier) were led by Andi Fehrer’s 27 kills. Marcie Dickey tallied 59 assists and Michelle Bisch led the defense with 18 digs. Natalie Conroy recorded six service aces for Carroll College.

Lewis-Clark State will travel to Salt Lake City, Friday, October 5th, for a match against Westminster College.
