Jessica continues the
tradition of having a female runner on the team
from Clarkston High, following Darrah Hocum, who
was a senior year last after competing for four
years on the team.
“We
are excited about having Jessica on the team,”
Coach Mike Collins says. “I have visited with
her high school cross country coach (Brian
Denton) and he and I both agree that she has the
potential to improve a lot in the college
running environment. Much of this has to do with
that she has come to the point of deciding that
she wants to run and understands the commitment
and sacrifice needed to be good.”
