Alex has been running
competitively for only three years, but enjoyed
almost immediate success. He was Mountain View
High’s most improved runner during his sophomore
season, and was the team’s most inspirational
competitor in 2006.
PERSONAL:
Born Oct. 25, 1988 in
Boise to Cliff and Cindy Pogue. Has one older
sister Tiffany, and two younger brothers
Christopher and Joshua.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Started running cross
country as a sophomore and enjoyed almost
immediate success. Earned All -State
honors as both a junior and senior and helped
his team claim the state title his senior year.
He also ran track as a junior and earned
All-State honors in the 3,200. Played on the
school’s Lacrosse team as a freshman and
sophomore, lettering his second season.
