Ramirez was slowed by
injuries early in his second year in the Warrior
program, but came on strong at the end and
nearly earned a spot to run in the national
championship race, earning a spot as an
alternate runner. He was in the top seven for
most of the season. Once he made the adjustment
from 5 kilometers to 8 kilometers as a freshman,
he also was among the top seven runners. If he
stays healthy, he should be a factor this
season.
