Title: A Comparative Evaluation of the Pre-Service Training & Retention of Kinship & Non-Kinship Foster/Adoptive Families

Abstract: A comprehensive evaluation of the Parent Resources for Information Development and Education (PRIDE) Foster/Adopt pre-service training and resource family development program was conducted one-and-a-half years post training. Results indicate PRIDE is an effective training, family development, and retention program post-post training (p < .05, p= .025). This is the subsequent study to the Christenson and McMurtry (2007) publication titled, “A Comparative Evaluation of the Resources, Support, and pre-service training of kinship and non-kinship foster/adoptive families.”

Please Note: Abstracts not completed in the correct format will be sent back for editing and resubmission. Thank you.
