NASW Legislative

Advocacy Days 2012

February 20th & 21st

Social Workers and Social Work Students from all across Idaho will come together at the Owyhee Plaza Hotel and the Idaho State Capitol for public policy training, meetings with their legislators, and networking

  Featuring Keynote Speaker:

Millie Grenough, BCD, LCSW, EMDR-Level II

MILLIE GRENOUGH, Social Worker, inspires people to do what they thought was impossible. She teaches non-singers to sing, shy speakers to present confidently in public, Type A personalities to work smarter, frazzled people to focus, and warring parties to work together.

An ex-nun turned nightclub singer, ex-shy Kentuckian turned international speaker, Millie walks her talk. After a near-death accident impacted her high-velocity lifestyle, she developed strategies to help herself live a saner, more balanced life and wrote the book OASIS in the Overwhelm: 60-second Strategies that has helped thousands of people on five continents. Her OASIS Training Program has graduates in seven United States, and in Panama, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand.

Coach, Author of ten books, Motivational Speaker, and Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, Millie is certified in Social Work, in EMDR-Level II, and is one of ten people worldwide named Master Rubenfeld Synergist. Her six years’ living and working in Latin America and Europe help her be at home with people from many backgrounds. She has successfully coached VPs at Foxwoods Resort & Casino, university deans, clergy, therapists, social worker life coaches, athletes, artists, nurses, doctors, shy attorneys, prison inmates, and hassled parents.

Ms. Grenough is a frequent keynote speaker, a regular guest on TV and radio; her articles appear in national and international media. She imparts her strategies in workshops, retreats, staff team-building, and individual social worker life coach sessions.

 Millie’s passion?

   – to help each of us reach our full potential – while remaining sane and healthy.
