Bachelor of Applied
Science
Procedures and
Student Responsibilities
1.
Make plans
for completing all requirements for an A.A.S. degree approved by the
Idaho State Board of Education. Consult your
Professional-Technical program faculty advisor and/or your
Professional-Technical school's counselors about how A.A.S. requirements
may be coordinated with the additional BAS/BASAT degree requirements.
Notes:
(a) If
you earned your A.A.S. more than five (5) years ago, you must obtain
approval for currency in your A.A.S. technical field. Contact the
Division Chair (BTS or T&I) responsible for your technical program for
these instructions.
(b)
A.A.S. degrees not earned at LCSC must be evaluated and approved for
application toward B.A.S./B.A.T.. Contact the Division Chair (BTS or
T&I) responsible for your technical program for these instructions.
2.
Apply for admission unless you are already and LCSC student.
3.
Courses cannot be
randomly selected. They must satisfy LCSC’s General Education
requirements, enhance the A.A.S. technical field, and support your
individual education and career goals. By carefully consulting the LCSC
General Catalog, you will be able to identify courses to satisfy these
requirements, including 300/400 level courses with their prerequisites.
4.
Meet with
your advisor(s) to arrive at an agreement on your plan of coursework and
fill out the BAS/BASAT program requirements. Be sure that you and your
advisor(s) have signed the degree plan.
5.
Submit an
application for graduation to your advisor for approval by the required
date on the Registrar’s important dates list. The appropriate Division
Office (BTS or T&I) will then approve. Then submit the graduation
application to the Registrar’s Office. |
