This program is designed to offergraphic1.tif (196328 bytes) students fundamental working knowledge of graphic design, desktop publishing, stripping, platemaking, image setting, offset presswork, and bindery processes.   Students are provided with basic knowledge of these trade areas, so they will enter the printing industry with skills necessary to gain employment as an entry-level worker.

The courses in the pre-press curriculum are designed to teach students both the use and proper application/integration of hardware and software used in the graphic arts industry.   Courses in the press and bindery area are designed to prepare the students for a good working knowledge of the basic production skills necessary to be proficient in the real world of the printing industry.

The Graphic Design/Printing Technology program offers important and unique Live Shop instruction.  The Live Shop gives students a taste of what a real print shop would be like and allows them to recognize the importance of working as a team in meeting the demands of the graphic arts/printing industry.
