Internship & Job Opportunities Spring 2018


The Human Rights Education Institute (HREI) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to celebrate diversity and promote human rights by educating, raising awareness and inspiring transformation in our community. We are recognized as a center for providing cultural education, raising awareness of critical human rights issues and honoring differences while working toward common goals. We have on-site cultural education programs and experiences, as well as off-site with partner agencies in our community.

 Marketing Intern Position

Marketing Interns will work closely with the Programs and Development Manager and Marketing team to learn the process for branding a product and distributing the new brand out to the community through a variety of media.  Interns will learn how to set up fundraising and program events and market those to the public, aligning that with the HREI brand.  Interns will learn different communication tools to use in an effort to connect with community leaders and agencies to develop ties with the community.

Marketing Interns will:

  • Be currently or recently enrolled in a Business & Communication Arts or similar program.
  • Be able to work at least 10 hours a week.
  • Have experience with different social media, i.e. website, Facebook, etc.
  • Be willing to work collaboratively with a variety of people.
  • Work at some program events and fundraisers that relate to marketing skills.
