Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History invites artists to submit works for “Reclaim Revolution”, an exhibit scheduled for September 22 – October 21 at the Center, 415 Main Street.
The opening reception for “Reclaimed Revolution” is October 6, 5-9 p.m. in the Center’s main galleries during Beautiful Downtown Lewiston’s Artwalk. A closing celebration is scheduled for October 21, 6-9 p.m. during the Steam-powered Superhero Ball, a major fundraiser for the Center’s youth programming.
Submissions are due September 1, 5 p.m. and should include reclaimed, recycled or remade objects or works themed with Steam-powered Superhero, Victorian Futurism, or Found Object Assemblage. Steampunk inspired artwork, fashion and accessories incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.
Artists may submit up to ten pieces for juried consideration. All mediums are welcome. Artwork samples can be emailed in .jpg format to email@example.com. Files must be no larger than one megabyte a piece, and the text of the email should include the title of the .jpg, artist name, title of piece, medium, dimensions, and price.
Notice of accepted work will be sent September 7. Accepted work must be delivered to the Center by 5 p.m. September 14. For more information about the exhibition, visit The Center or call 208.792.2243.
