All students face decisions about selecting a major and a career direction that is right for them. Career counseling is available to help students explore and define their interests, abilities, values, and other needs as they relate to choosing a major and a career. If you are an LCSC student in need of career guidance or counseling, please contact our office in Reid Centennial Hall, Room 208 and arrange to meet with a Career & Advising professional.
Students can acquire an activation code from Career & Advising Services to log in anywhere, anytime! Use Kuder Journey to explore career options by learning about yourself, possible majors, career paths, and more! It's a great system with a huge amount of information. Go to Kuder Journey
Candid Career is an easy to use library of thousands of video clips fo informational interviews and career advice topcis. Students can search Candid Career by industry, major, advice topic, or job title. Go to Candid Career
Assessments are most often combined with career counseling. This allows for explanation and/or interpretation of results, feedback from the student, and determining a plan for further exploration. In addition to the Kuder Program (free to students), the following assessments are available through the office of Career & Advising Services for a fee.
