The first year of college can be exciting and kind of overwhelming. You are learning about the campus, the instructors, your roommate(s) and how the process of college works, not to mention learning a great deal of new material.
The office of Career & Advising Services has put together a resource guide for you. "Navigating Your First Year" offers you color-coded steps that begin with "Before Orientation" and ends with "Before the End of The First Year". In between, you will find helpful "Terms to Know" that cuts through the jargon a student hears and translates it into understandable words.
You will find the "LCSC Mathematics and Writing Flow Charts" that determine your placement into math and English courses. The "General Education Core Requirements" list what is currently required for all students in a baccalaureate program.
There are helpful sections on the use of WarriorWeb and LCMail, both vital to a students success at LCSC along with a "Fall and Spring Semester Important Dates" page.
"The Resources for Success" provides you with where to go for help with things like math and English, when you're sick or are in the need of Information Technology (IT) help. The "Tips for Success" page outlines some strategies to help you successfully get through your first year at LCSC and beyond.
