Career & Advising Services provides a wide array of resource material to assist in learning about careers, employment opportunities, and conducting a job search. Among these materials are:

Check Out Policy

• Most resources may be checked out to current LCSC students and alumni at no cost. We ask that you check materials out no earlier than 4:00 p.m. and return them by 9:00 a.m. the following day.
  
• Certain materials are considered "Reference Only" and may not be removed from the office.
  
• Non-students may check out materials only at the discretion of the Director of Career & Advising Services.
  

Other Points of Interest

1. Fax Machine - You may send and receive career exploration- or job search-related facsimilies through our office at minimal cost to you.
   
2. Student Computers- The CAS Office provides five PCs with all the latest capabilities. The computers are available for students on a reserve or walk-in basis to use in some of the following ways:
   • Access the internet to research employers or other areas of your job search
   • Contact an employer or organization through email
   • Type a resume and/or cover letter
   • Type your Candidate Information Form (see Job Search for more details)
   • Use DISCOVER  - Career & Advising Services purchases a license that allows us to provide "vouchers" to students, alumni, and prospective students. You can use it anytime, anyplace, as long as you have access to the internet. It is an excellent source of exploration and information. Stop in and check it out! 3. Copy Machine - You may copy pages from resources in our office for .10/copy.
   
4. VCR/DVD - If you would like to view a video or DVD, but don't have access to a player (or don't want to take a video home), please use ours!
