General Information:

Prepares students to design, develop and
manage organizational web sites.

Students employ industry driven software applications
and technologies to complete coursework.

Contemporary standards and best practices are taught in
a comprehensive, yet flexible, program of study which
prepares students for the web development jobs of
tomorrow.

Graduates can expect to fill entry-level positions in
the web design and development industry upon graduation.

Students work on “live” web development projects using a
variety of industry standard web authoring tools.
The Web Development program is designed to prepare students
with the skills to design, develop and manage business web sites. Coursework
includes applying the most popular web authoring and data processing tools to
web development. Current Internet technologies, web-programming techniques and
electronic business practices will be learned. Completers of this program will
be able to work in development teams and communicate in the technical area.
This exciting field is dynamically growing as more and more organizations build
and enhance their Internet presence. The program is flexible to stay current
with emerging Internet technologies. Students will have the opportunity to gain
experience in hands on web authoring during their coursework.
