MGTPT-205 SMALL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT 3   Studies basic factors involved in initiating and
      managing a business enterprise. Emphasis on
      business objectives, failure and success factors,
      problems of a new business, locations, facilities,
      staffing, planning, and financing. Students will
      related these factors to local business operations
      and will develop a business plan.
 
MGTPT-211 CREDIT MANAGEMENT 3   Introduces students to credit and its role in
      business today.  Major emphasis is placed on
      policies and procedures involved in the credit
      decision-making process, including various
      analysis and decision-making processes.
      Collection of debts, both short-term and
      long-term, will be addressed with regard to
      applicable state and federal regulations.
 
MGTPT-220 SUPERVISION 3   Prepares students for a role as a front line
      supervisor.  It is intended to be a capstone
      course for any business-type program.  Concept
      applications include employee motivation, hiring,
      firing, development, mentoring, organization, and
      other contemporary issues.
MGTPT-260 MANAGEMENT DECISION MAKING 3   Provides students with the skills associated with
      making effective business decisions.  Course
      content includes various decision-making models
      and techniques. Special emphasis is placed on
      how to decide on the best possible solution as
      opposed to whether or not the "right" decision is
      made. Critical thinking is required throughout
      course activities.
 
MGTPT-265 LEGAL/ETHICS IN BUSINESS 3   This course prepares students for ethical dilemmas
      they will face in their business careers.  To
      create a managerial framework for the student.
      This framework provides an overview of the
      concepts, processes, and best practices associated
      with successful business ethics programs.  Provide
      students the opportunity to see the roles and
      responsibilities they may face as they advance in
      the workplace.
