What is the college code and deadline for FAFSA?
The priority deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is March 1 for the following academic year.  You must go to www.fafsa.ed.gov ; college code is 001621.

How will I know what kind of Financial Aid I qualify for?
Once you have been admitted to LCSC and the Financial Aid office has received all of your FAFSA information, your award letter will be posted on WarriorWeb, which indicates the financial aid you qualify for that academic year.

What do I do with my award letter?
You must indicate which parts of your award you will accept or deny and return a signed copy with your "Conditions of Award" to the LCSC-CDA Main Office. You may also fax the completed award letter and conditions of award to Financial Aid: 208-792-2063, or scan and email it to finaid@lcsc.edu. Be sure and keep a copy for your records. If you are concurrently enrolled at NIC, and you wish to defer your NIC fees until you receive your financial aid, you must provide a copy of your award letter to the NIC Student Accounts Office.

What is the Concurrent Enrollment Certification Form,
and why do I need one?
If you are attending both LCSC and NIC, you will be receiving Financial Aid from LCSC. Because your award is based on your total number of credits, the Financial Aid Office must verify your total enrollment between institutions. As soon as you are registered for your NIC classes, you must submit a Concurrent Enrollment Certification Form. NIC will verify your number of credits and route this form back to LCSC.

IMPORTANT:  It is the student’s responsibility to submit a Concurrent Enrollment Certification Form each and every semester that you are attending both institutions. You must also submit a new form every time there is a change in your schedule by adding or dropping credits.

How and where do I receive my financial aid?
Fees that are due when the semester starts will be deducted from your financial aid after it is posted to your student account. Any remaining funds will be released to the student in the form of a residual check, which can be picked up at the LCSC-CDA Main Office.
Students must present a valid picture ID.

What happens to my financial aid if I drop a class?
If you are receiving financial aid and decide to drop a class (either at LCSC or NIC) or withdraw from LCSC altogether, please check with the Financial Aid Office at (208) 792-2224 to determine the impact on your financial aid status.
