Katie Hardy, Chair
LCMail:
klhardy@lcmail.lcsc.edu
I’m a senior at Lewis Clark State College this year and
I’m thrilled to be serving the student body in Coeur
d’Alene as the ASLCSC Chairperson. As a Communication
major, I am interested in a career in global marketing
or in the non profit sector. I love to travel and hope
to work or study abroad soon! Some of my hobbies include
writing, reading, tennis, acting and scrapbooking. I’ve
been married for a year to my best friend. Our love
story is truly amazing and I am so blessed! I am very
excited to serve as your student body Chair for the
upcoming year and would be happy to discuss student
questions or concerns. Email me at

Nick Madsen, Vice-Chair
LCMail:
njmadsen@lcmail.lcsc.edu
Nicholas Madsen is my name, and being a voice for the
student body is my game. I am a junior at Lewis Clark
State College Coeur d’Alene, and your current ASLCSC-CDA
Vice-Chairperson. After receiving an Associate of
Science from North Idaho College this spring, I decided
that LCSC-CDA was the place where I would continue my
education toward a Bachelor in Communication Arts.
Although I don’t know what career I will be pursuing
once I graduate, I hope it will include public speaking
and helping people. I am the second of eight children,
and have two loving parents. Over the past several
years, I've enjoyed leadership positions in programs for
young children. I'm hoping to use the leadership skills
I've already learned, while gaining new experience as I
help lead the ASLCSC-CDA. While continuing my education,
I’m excited about being the voice for the student body,
and helping to leave Lewis Clark State College Coeur
d’Alene a better place then when I arrived.

Sarah Dixon, Treasurer/Secretary
LCMail:
sjdixon@lcmail.lcsc.edu
My name is Sarah Dixon. I graduated from Post Falls High
School in 2007.
I was born in southern California, but have spent
most of my life in Idaho.
I am a junior in the social work program at LCSC
in Coeur d’ Alene.
This is my first year at LCSC, and I am looking
forward to it.
After graduation, I want to go on to earn a
masters degree in social work.
I enjoy meeting new people and learning about
different walks of life.
I love to play sports, drink coffee, and
scrapbook, but not in that order.
I know that I can do a wide variety of things
with a social work degree.
As of right now, I want to work in ministry
and/or with counseling and connecting prisoners to the
resources they need for a better chance at life, prior
to and upon release.
I am excited about my opportunity to serve the
LCSC community through being the Secretary/Treasurer of
ASLCSC.

Ashley Gerstenberger, Activities Director
LCMail:
amgerstenberger@lcmail.lcsc.edu
“Things should never stay the same. Instead, seek
to bring change; leave your mark behind on the world.
With this mark, never be forgotten.” -Me
As the Activities Director for ASLCSC this year, I plan
to coordinate events that are not only enjoyable, but
also leave their mark behind in our community.
Giving back to our society (foreign and domestic), while
expanding the horizons of our student body at LCSC,
stands apart as my most important goal for this upcoming
year.
Aside from always having my “head in the books,” I enjoy
fine art, music, writing, and anything foreign.
There's no feeling of greater success when you throw a
clay pot on a wheel, and it's actually centered, or you
write out a sentence in Thai, and it's actually correct.
I've succeeded in “reading myself blind,” and find
myself listening to music while studying, driving,
reading, sleeping, and taking tests…
My dog, Levi, is my co-pilot.
The biggest obstacle in my life is finishing the ending
of a novel I'm currently writing. It's hard work living
the lives of all of your characters, while trying to
keep your feet firmly on the ground…

Donna Holland is very excited to be the new Media/Public
Relations Representative for the students of Lewis-Clark
State College Coeur d'Alene campus. Donna is a senior at
LCSC this year. She will be earning her B.A. in
Communications with a minor in Spanish. She is hoping to
go on to earn a Master's degree in Communications, and
eventually become an instructor at the college level.
Donna has been happily married for 15 years. She is a
mother of two children and recently became a
grandmother! Donna is very excited to be working with
such a wonderful group on the ASLCSC council. She is
looking forward to communicating with fellow students on
their suggestions for the newsletter, so if you have one
stop her and say hi!
