Q1: Can I qualify for financial aid assistance?

*TIP for determining eligibility for financial aid. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is where you need to start. This website offers a tool to help you estimate what your need and contribution will be. The forecaster is available at anytime of the year. Get a jump start and gain an early awareness of the process.
Go to www.fafsa4caster.ed.gov

Q2: Have you applied for admission to LCSC? Students cannot receive an award letter until the application for admission is completed.

Q3: Have you applied for financial aid?
Apply for Federal Financial Aid by completing the FAFSA application, available online January 1 for the following school year. Complete before the priority deadline of March 1 each spring term. Enter the Federal Code for LCSC as 001621.

Lewis-Clark State College administers and grants financial aid to qualifying students through the Financial Aid Office in Lewiston.  The most frequent award programs include Pell grants, subsidized/unsubsidized loans and a limited number of Idaho state grants.  The Financial Aid Office also awards ‘work study’ to qualifying students and outlines the procedures for applying for academic scholarships (merit and need based scholarships).

Coeur d'Alene students should take the opportunity to specifically apply for the College Transfer Scholarship and the Non-Traditional Student Scholarship. Find the application under the General Category.
