Sharon Strand is an
Associate Professor and
LC-CDA Coordinator for the Nursing Division. Sharon
earned her BSN at California State, Long Beach and
her MSN from California State, Dominguez Hills.
Sharon’s areas of specialty are pediatrics and
public/community health. She has a strong
commitment to community service. Sharon has been
involved in many research projects and has authored
numerous publications. She has been involved in
various aspects of nursing education since 1981 and
is enthusiastic about working with RNs as they
complete their BSN degree. |

Peggy
Wasserman is an Associate Professor for the Nursing
Division.
Peggy earned her BSN from
LCSC
and MSN from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. Peggy’s area of specialty is emergency
and pediatric nursing. She also works as a nurse
practitioner. Her other interests include her family,
working with kids, animals and quilting. Peggy has
been involved in various aspects of teaching since
1995. Peggy's can-do attitude encourages many students
as they work to complete their BSN degree.
