In addition to the reading, writing and practice experiences, you will also be graded on the following assignments for this class. You need to post these to everyone’s e-mail address that is in the class. There is no assigned due date for the first 3. They can be sent sent anytime before the end of the class to receive a full grade. The reason that I would like you to post them to everyone’s e-mail address is so that you can increase your resource files. I will provide everyone’s e-mail address at the start of the class, unless you would not like to have yours shared for confidentiality reasons. If this is the case, please let me know. The last one is an information sheet that should be completed the first session. Again, for confidentiality reasons, you need only share the information that you want to share. If you would like everyone in the class to get to know you, then you can also send this to everyone’s e-mail, or only to mine. Whatever is the most comfortable for you.

Share with the class your favorite fingerplay that somehow promotes "self".

Share with the class one project (art projects work well) that helps children identify things about themselves. An example would be a "Me Tree". "Me Trees" are made by making a trunk of a tree, and then adding leaves. On each leaf have the child tell you something to write that tells about them.

Share with the class your favorite kind of music and why you like it.

If this format isn’t comfortable for you, then you can share in paragraph form, including any information that you want to.
