Roadside Geology of the
Lewiston Basin

Journey back in time and
see the valley through new eyes! Explore the general
geology of the LC valley with an emphasis on sediments and
fossils and the many layers of basalt, volcanic ash and
flood deposits in what is the major aquifer for Clarkston.
We'll explore the Lewiston basin from the top of the grade
and on down to Granite Point while investigating the vast
time scale from pre-Cambrian times onward.
Travel by LCSC Van; Meet at
Williams Conference Center. Student to provide lunch
and beverages; Dress for any weather; Minors 12 to 16 welcome with an adult, 16+ welcome
individually; Class size is limited, so register early.

Idaho, enjoys sharing his knowledge and enjoyment of the
fossil world.
