Salsa Dance
by Julie Richardson

Salsa is a popular, upbeat, flirtatious dance with its roots firmly in Cuba. Salsa has many forms (Cumbia, LA, and Miami) and is known for syncopated footwork combined with a quick flick of the foot, light turns, twists and spins that express the incredible energy of the music. Students will learn the basic four count step, partnering (leading and following), dips, turns and direction changes. Technique is strongly emphasized.
