Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?
Pre-registration, with payment, is required for all non-credit classes and Should be received at least one week prior to the class start date. Register early to ensure your place in popular classes and to avoid cancellations due to low enrollment.  Register online, by phone, fax, mail or by visiting the LCSC Outreach Center in your area or Continuing Education & Community Events (CECE) in downtown Lewiston.

Where do I sign up?
Register with the site offering your class.  Addresses for Outreach Centers and Continuing Education & Community Events are listed in the catalog at the beginning of their section and on page 37; CECE, in Lewiston, is open 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, including the lunch hour during regular LCSC Campus hours (summer hours may vary).

Are there other fees?
Additional fees for supplies, transportation, or lab use are noted in the course description information following the Registration Fee.

What if I am unable to attend my class?
If you need to cancel your registration before the first meeting of a class, we understand.  Contact us by phone or e-mail and you can ask for a refund, a credit voucher, or transfer to another class. Cancellation refunds may be subject to a $15 processing fee and may take several weeks to process.

What if my class is cancelled or the schedule changes?
Rare changes in the class schedule may occur due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment.  You have the option to a complete refund, a credit for a future class, or you may transfer to another class; a refund may take several weeks to process.

What if I’m unhappy with my class?
Your satisfaction is our primary goal.  Our commitment is to quality and to you. We know that our instructors are excellent and that our programs are solid but, if your class does not measure up to your expectations, let us know. Please call us at 208-792-2447 or 800-394-4189, and give us the opportunity to do something about it. We want you to be satisfied!

Will I get a reminder?
A confirmation of your registration will be mailed one week prior to the class start date, listing the class location, date and time.

What should I wear?
Instructor suggestions for clothing that will enhance your learning experience are listed in some class descriptions.  Classrooms are equipped with adequate air conditioning and heating but, if you chill easily please bring a light jacket or sweater.

Is there a discount for LCSC Faculty or Staff?
Continuing Education & Community Events is pleased to offer a 20% discount to the first 30 LCSC faculty/staff members registering for any one non-credit class offered in the Personal Enrichment catalog.

All full or part time LCSC staff or faculty members, including irregular help, are eligible for the discount; work-study students, spouses, children or other family members are not eligible. 

Discounted registrations are facilitated by calling 792-2447, by faxing
792-2850, or by visiting the CECE offices at 415 Main Street, in the LCSC Center for Arts & History building, downtown Lewiston.  Online registration for employee discounted classes is not available at this time.
