Learn how NOT to get lost
through the use of topographical maps and a Global
Positioning System (GPS) unit. If you have a GPS unit, bring
it to class. If you dont have one, we have one you may use
and can help you determine how to select the right one for
your needs. Bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable shoes
for walking around the LCSC campus.

Tom Walker is an Earth Scientist
and an adjunct professor of geology at LCSC. Tom designs and
teaches credit and non-credit classes in earth science,
geology, geography, astronomy, and provides professional
development for K 12 teachers. Tom volunteers his time &
expertise to many organizations and has directed local field
trips. Tom is an Idaho certified teacher and holds degrees
in earth science, secondary education, and teacher
education.
