En Plain Air Watercolor Painting

Painting en plain air (outdoors) is a great way to get the most out of any subject. In this one-day, outdoor painting experience at Hell's Gate State Park, we will explore such topics as how to set up equipment to be most efficient, compose the scene, work in changing light, use a limited pallet to get the most out of our painting time, and create quick, preliminary watercolor sketches that capture the essence of our subject and assist us in our completed paintings. This class is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills of perception and truly experience your subject!
