Summer Weekend/Overnight Day Trips
Idaho Shakespeare Festival: Macbeth in Boise
by Chris Riggs
The Idaho Shakespeare Festival, in Boise, is
one of the premier Shakespeare Festivals in the west! One of
Shakespeare's most exciting plays, Macbeth (a.k.a. "The
Scottish Play") has continued relevance due to its timely
and insightful portrayal of human ambition and the seduction
of power. So, get "out, I say" and join us on this overnight
trip, which will include a pre-performance lecture by
Professor Chris Norden and some lively post-performance
discussion. Fee includes transportation, a boxed lunch for
Sat., ticket to the performance, and lodging with a
complimentary, hot breakfast. Participants are responsible
for Saturday's dinner (options include BYO picnic, fast food
take out (near hotel), or purchasing dinner at the
amphitheater's Cafe Shakespeare) and Sunday's lunch.
2 day course
Chris Norden is a professor in the
