Chemistry
Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Welcome to chemistry at LCSC, a division of the Department of Natural Science. With our small size and focus on undergraduate education, we offer a friendly atmosphere, individual attention and connections with other science and math courses. Our chemistry major has the option of a geochemistry emphasis and prepares students for graduate school and careers in chemistry. Our pre-professional courses prepare students for careers in the health sciences or education. We also offer a chemistry minor. Opportunities are readily available to our majors for independent research in porphyrins, pyrotechnics, remediation, green chemistry and natural product chemistry. Summer research is also encouraged.
