Tips and things
to remember:
-
News is the unusual
-
News is information
people need in their daily lives
-
News is a human
story reminding us of accomplishments, joys and new starts.
If the event is a
fundraiser or open to public, remember to address the following
questions in your description:
-
Who is sponsoring/
hosting the event?
-
What's the purpose? (Fundraiser, special
recognition, etc.)
-
Include one or two sentences about the host or
sponsor and how the event serves or benefits LCSC.
-
Is everyone welcome?
-
Is there a charge to attend?
Will refreshments be served? If so, is registration required and how
does one register?
-
Does it happen more than once?
Proofread your
entry carefully!
The sooner you
submit information, the better!
Many media outlets
like 2-3 weeks advance notice to cover an event. Submitted items may be
posted on LCSC’s intranet, internet, news and information pages, or any
appropriate combination therein. Submittals are subject to editing and
may not appear online immediately.
