Area High School Students Invited
to Join Accelerated Learning/Tech Prep Program
On November 13th, LCSC will host a reception for high school juniors and
seniors-along with their parents-who want to earn college credit while in high school.
Under the accelerated learning program, qualifying students can take specific classes at
their high schools, on campus at LCSC, or via the Internet, earning both high school and
college credit. The accelerated learning program provides a way to get a "jump
start" on their college education.
The reception will include presentations by Andy Hanson, Associate Director of
Admissions/Coordinator of Student Success Services; Soo Lee Bruce, Enrollment Services
Representative; and Todd Broadman, LCSC's Tech Prep Coordinator. Their presentations will
be followed by a question-and-answer session. Students can apply and get other paperwork
started to join the program. High school students can register for spring semester college
classes beginning November 12th.
The event will take place in the Student Union Building, room 143, from 7-9:00 p.m.
Parents of interested students are welcome to attend, as are high school guidance
counselors. In order to plan for refreshments, the office of Admissions requests an RSVP
to them on the web, or by calling 208/792-2210.

also register for on-campus classes. For a list of classes offered at LCSC go to www.lcsc.edu/registrar/schedules.htm.
