Information and Ed Tech Staffs gather for "KAT" Night

LEWISTON - Employees of LC's Information Technology (IT) Department and Educational Technology Center (ETC) and their families joined forces to show their support for LC Warrior Basketball teams-and especially for Katarina Gabaniova-at the Warrior basketball games on February 21st. Katarina, a senior starter for the Lady Warriors, is a student employee at the ETC and was competing in her final home game at Warrior Gymnasium.

The group enthusiastically showed their support all through the Lady Warrior game. A large 4 foot by 5 foot poster was unfurled to show the group's support for the Warriors. The poster included a large photo of Katarina, noting her LCSC career record for "most blocked shots," and asking her to "make the record even higher tonight."

Everyone also had a "Kat mask-on-a-stick," which they proudly waved during the game in support of their favorite player.

After the game, Dave Taylor and Doris Miles represented the ETC and presented Katarina with gifts, a photo and a certificate of appreciation for her work, while her co-workers from the ETC and IT cheered on.

Information Technology Director Carmen Rahm said everyone in attendance had a great time and thanked the campus food service (Sodexho) for providing 2 for 1 popcorn to the group.
