What: Kids' College,
Summer 2001 Where: LCSC campus When: June 18-August 17, 2001 Contact: Kristy Roberts, Extended Programs Office, 792-2447 Kids' College Begins in June In June, Lewis-Clark State College will once again offer Kids' College, a summer educational program for area youth entering grades 4-8. Kids looking for something fun and interesting to do this summer can learn about digital video or how to make their own burglar alarm-among other things. Kids' College features week-long classes in various educational activities including archery, theater, fly fishing, dance, piano, polymer chemistry, web pages and sewing, just to name a few. Activities are hands-on and all supplies are included in class fees. Presented by LCSC's Extended Programs office and co-sponsored in part by Regence Blue Shield of Idaho, Kids' College will begin June 18 and continue through August 17. Classes range in cost from $29 for a one-week class to $79 for a two-week class. Some classes have a minimum number of spaces available, so early registration is suggested. Scholarship monies are available to individuals with financial need, thanks to local businesses and organizations. A separate scholarship application is required. Applications can be obtained by calling the Extended Programs office at (208) 792-2447. Scholarship application deadline is June 1, 2001. For more information or to receive a copy of the Kids' College class schedule, contact Extended Programs at (208) 792-2447. |
