Address by President Thomas Opens Fall Semester
Lewis-Clark State College President, Dr. Dene Kay Thomas, will welcome college employees back for the fall semester at an all-campus meeting Thursday, August 16. The program begins with her address at 9:00 a.m. in the Williams Conference Center.
Thomas will identify goals for the college in the coming year, and offer her vision on the means to reach them. She will also describe her activities to date, including sessions with the Idaho State Board of Education, and issues she views as special challenges for near future. She expects to use the occasion to ask employees for their input on increasing enrollment and endowment: areas she views as priorities for the coming year.
The vice presidents of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Administrative Services will also provide updates on their activities, and president Thomas will present an update on the college's strategic plan.
Following introductions of new employees and employee reassignments, a "Welcome Back" luncheon will be offered for employees from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Then, opportunities to make and renew acquaintances will continue with an informal open house at the President's Home, 807 6th Street, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
