Chamber Singers on the Road Again
The Lewis-Clark State College Chamber Singers were in Pennsylvania earlier this week, participating in a series of events recognizing the works of female composers. The four LCSC singers, Alisha Bake, Beth Palmer, Kristin Peterson, and Katherine Ramos Baker (director), were invited to present a lecture-recital on the music of Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) at Lock Haven University, in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, on Monday, March 19th. The Chamber Singers were also part of the opening concert for the 6th Festival of Women Composers at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, on the 21st.The opening concert, the Carol Teti Memorial Concert, will feature several ensembles, including the music of Hildegard von Bingen and concluding with works of the contemporary American composer Libby Larson. |
