LEWISTON - Your first impression is formed in the firsts 60 seconds.
Purple is the happening color for men, even in neckties. These days, skirts and pants are
both acceptable but you should maintain the "suited" look. Never wear hosiery of
a color darker than your shoes. Jewelry of the popular "multiple metals" type
(both gold and silver) is much more versatile than pieces made only of either one.
Representatives of the Lewiston department store showed a variety of clothing and accessories that could be mixed and matched to create outfits appropriate for the most formal business setting as well as "Corporate Casual Friday." Also, the store's Clinique Counter manager did a facial professional makeover on a volunteer student from the audience.
CDS Director Debra Lybyer believes this event and the upcoming
"Gaining a Competitive Edge in an Interview Meal" offer much-needed opportunity
to LCSC students and community members. "It's critically important to present
yourself well to prospective employers in these settings. These are learned skills. We're
pleased to offer a variety of ways in which to learn them," Lybyer said. #### |
