Linda Andrews and Dan Lamberton will give a joint poetry reading on Tuesday afternoon, November 6, at 3 p.m., in the Clearwater Room of the Williams Conference Center, on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College.

Andrews' poems have appeared widely in journals and magazines. She has received the Richard Blessing Award, an Academy of American Poets Prize, and the Ucross Foundation Fellowship. Her book of poems, Escape of the Bird Women, received a 1999 Washington State Governor's Award. She has worked as a speechwriter and editor in the health care field and in this capacity has been published in several professional periodicals, including The New England Journal of Medicine. She teaches English at Walla Walla College.

Dan Lamberton's poems have appeared in Poetry Northwest, Northern Lights, Sojourners, and many other journals. He chairs the Humanities Department at Walla Walla College where he teaches creative writing and the literature of the American West. He also teaches in the University of Washington's Teachers as Scholars program, and for the past two years has lectured extensively on Theodore Roethke for the Washington Commission on the Humanities.

The reading is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a reception and book signing.
