Free Workshop: Manufacturing Alliance for
Small Businesses and Service Providers
The Idaho Small Business Development Center, Technical & Sponsored Programs, the
Technical and Industrial Division, and the Idaho Virtual Incubator at Lewis-Clark State
College will present a series of meetings for local area manufacturers and service
providers the week of January 14, 2002.
Organizers say the meetings will provide area manufacturers and service providers a chance
to familiarize themselves with an exciting procurement opportunity for their businesses,
especially in light of the current economy. All are free of charge and open to the public.
Bob Goodloe and Wally Johnson from Oklahoma State University, in conjunction with the
ISBDC, LCSC Technical & Sponsored Programs, the Technical and Industrial Division, and
the Idaho Virtual Incubator, will be meeting individuals interested in learning how to
create an alliance for the purposes of government procurement and e-commerce-based on
their experiences in this area from a pilot program at Oklahoma State University.
Meetings will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2002 for area service providers at LCSC's
Student Union Building, Room 143 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and at the Lewiston Chamber
of Commerce Conference Room from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional meetings will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2002, at the Lutheran Church, (611
Main Street), in Pierce from 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon and 2-4 p.m. at the Pizza Factory
basement, (307 Michigan), in Orofino for local manufacturers there.
Meetings will continue in Lewiston on Thursday, January 17, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30
a.m. at the Lewiston Chamber Conference Rooms. For more information on these meetings,
